Jennifer Peña - Como Entender (Version Cumbia)

Filed under: Cumbia on Wednesday, May 16th, 2007 by Miguelito | No Comments

Jennifer Peña - Como Entender (Version Cumbia)In 1996, Jennifer Peña sung in the movie “Selena” as the young superstar, and over 10 years later, she has released her 7th studio album called Dicen que el tiempo (They say that the time). It must be seen as her best production so far with great pop and cumbia songs as well as wonderful ballads on it.

Como Entender (how to understand) is the first single release of the album and in general a sad ballad about loosing the loved one and to understand the consequences of life. There are two versions of the song, the normal ballad and another one in cumbia style which is a bit faster.

Jennifer Peña is already a huge star in the latin music scene and maybe with her latest album she can get access even to a wider audience.

David Vendetta - Unidos para la Musica (feat. Akram)

Filed under: Dance on Wednesday, May 16th, 2007 by Miguelito | 1 Comment

David Vendetta - Unidos para la Musica (feat. Akram)David Vendetta is already a quite famous House-DJ in France with several done remixes and own productions and is nominated DJ for the NRJ MUSIC AWARDS 2007. He has his own radio show called “Cosa Nostra” on Radio FG Paris and is a resident DJ in the nightclub Redlight in Paris. In 2006 he already had a hit in France with Love to love you baby, using the famous vocal of legend Donna Summer in his song.

Unidos para la Musica (united for the music) is his latest release and could bring David Vendetta even more success. It’s a classic uptempo house tune with the vocals of singer Akram who sings about love and happiness for everyone. Although Akram’s expression seems quite sad and reflects more the opposite of the words he is singing, the song doesn’t lack any quality.

Already top ten in France, Unidos para la Musica deserves to be a huge hit also in other countries.

Kumbia Kings - Na Na Na (Mi dulce niña)

Filed under: Cumbia on Monday, March 13th, 2006 by Miguelito | No Comments

Kumbia Kings - Na Na Na (Mi dulce niña)Some time ago I have been watching music videos on Yahoo and by coincidence I’ve seen Na Na Na (Mi dulce niña) by the Kumbia Kings. Pee Wee, the youngest of the band, sings about his sweet girl (dulce niña), that he can’t stop thinking of. The same happens when you listen to the song, it’s a great tune which won’t get out of your head soon.

The Kumbia Kings have been found by A.B. Quintanilla, the brother of the famous and unfortunately already dead singer Selena. He writes and produces all the songs of them. Na na na (mi dulce niña) is from the album Fuego which means Fire.

Originally Cumbia is from Columbia and gets more and more popularity since the 90ies in southern and middle America. There are different Cumbia styles with the influences of Techno, Reggae or Rap.

Aventura - Ella Y Yo (feat. Don Omar)

Filed under: Reggaeton on Thursday, February 9th, 2006 by Miguelito | No Comments

Aventura - Ella y yoThe latest release Ella y Yo (She and I) from Aventura is a co-production of the famous Bachata group and the Reggaeton artist Don Omar. Therefore it’s more Reggaeton than Bachata this time, but one of it’s best kinds.

The song is about the story of two friends who love the same girl at the same time with the consequence that there friendship will be busted.

If you want to hear something different from Aventura than you should listen to Ella y Yo. And already-fans of Reggaeton will love this excellent piece of music.

Reik - Noviembre sin TiThe mexican boy band Reik had a huge success with their debut album and had sold over 110.000 copies alone in Mexico.

The ballad Noviembre Sin Ti (November without you) was a top ten hit in the US-Latin charts and also several other countries of the american region. Unfortunately until now Reik are nearly unknown in Europe.

Noviembre Sin Ti is a great song for lonely moments and for sure one to remember.
